The Cleverlys, a five-member trio known for its unique musical style, is the latest group to sign with the award-winning Mountain Home Music Company.
The group features Digger, Ricky Lloyd, Cub, Dale Vernon Dale, and Sock Cleverly, who bring Bluegrass sensibilities to popular hip-hop and pop hits, proving some songs aren’t limited to one genre. With comedic live performances that combine top-notch music with elaborate storytelling, The Cleverlys draw in audiences and give them an unexpected — yet entertaining — experience.
While many bands have come and gone, Russell Moore & IIIrd Tyme Out have endured. In the process, they’ve managed to climb to the top not just once, but twice—winning a slew of IBMA vocal awards, including two Male Vocalist of the Year honors, in the mid and late 1990s, then persevering through rough times to see Moore recapturing the Male Vocalist trophy for the three more years. Along the way, they’ve made a whole new generation of fans, and with the release of Timeless Hits From The Past… BLUEGRASSED by Cracker Barrel Old Country Store and their latest self-produced album, It’s About Time, the quintet are poised to deliver their distinctive kind of music more than ever.
Turning Ground is based in Salyersville, Kentucky, rooted deep in the Appalachian Mountains of Eastern Kentucky. Their style of bluegrass and bluegrass gospel is original and built around five people that simply love the music! They borrow from the traditional sounds of yesterday and blend it with the contemporary sounds of today's bluegrass to deliver a solid drive to their music. Turning Ground is one of the most talented new, energetic bands to surface onto the bluegrass scene in years.
NewTown features the first-rate vocal and instrumental work of five of the finest musicians in acoustic music who share a bond that combines individual virtuosity with a background of formal training. The band is based in Lexington, Kentucky and fronted by award-winning vocalist/fiddler Kati Penn Williams and her singer/banjo-picker husband, Jr. Williams. They are joined by the extraordinary talents of guitarist/vocalist Hayes Griffin, mandolinist Mitchell Cannon, and bassist/vocalist Travis Anderson – all who have college education backgrounds in music in addition to their collective decades of performing experience.
NewTown was chosen as a 2017 International Bluegrass Music Association Showcase Artists and a 2018 Folk Alliance Showcase Artist
Nightflyer, named in honor of Tony Rice’s song and album of the same name, consists of a group of talented professionals, hailing from Southwestern Ohio. The band is a perfect blend of contemporary bluegrass with strong traditional roots, a little gospel and just a touch of the blues thrown in – all culminating in a distinctive Nightflyer sound wrapped up in an entertaining show that appeals to all types of bluegrass fans.
Mikaya lives in a small town called Lawrenceburg, Kentucky.
She is in the 13 years old and has always
had a great love for music.
She sang her first song publicly at Woodland Park in 2015 and following her performance she was immediately booked for Festival of the Bluegrass in 2016. Things have exploded for Mikaya Taylor since. She has performed on WoodSongs Old Time Radio Hour with Michael Johnathon, Kentucky State BBQ Festival, Meadowgreen Fall Festival, just to name a few.
Mikaya is very excited the talented musicians of the Stevens Family Tradition have joined her to help make a name and
impression with people in and out of the
bluegrass music industry.
Mikaya looks forward to seeing you soon at a Bluegrass fesitval near you with her band Mikaya Taylor & The Stevens Family Tradition.
